  • Africa is the second biggest, but fastest growing mobile market in the world
  • Smart phones are outselling computers by 4 to 1
  • 50% of internet connections in Africa originate from a mobile device
  • Mobile infrastructure spend in 2009 was $355, and expected to be $1.5 billion by 2015
  • 6 out of 10 of the worlds fastest growing economies are in Africa – driven heavily by the growth of mobile
  • 50% of Africa’s population are younger than 20, they are the mobile generation
